Our growing manufacturing operation is seeking a strong, hands-on Weekend Shift Supervisor to lead production operations during our weekend shifts. This leadership role requires proven supervisory experience and the ability to confidently lead in an environment where management is limited on weekends. The ideal candidate thrives in an autonomous setting, makes sound decisions, and holds their team accountable while maintaining a positive and productive work culture.
Schedule Options (3 x 12-Hour Shifts)
Day Shift: Friday – Sunday | 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM Night Shift: Friday – Sunday | 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM
Salary
Hourly pay range: $28 - $35 Weekend Differential: Day Shift $3.00, Night Shift $4.00
Position Summary
Direct and manage weekend manufacturing floor operations with overall responsibility for production, safety, efficiency, quality, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate daily production activities, making real-time decisions to maintain safety, efficiency, product quality, and production goals.
Lead quality verification on the floor, including first part inspections, monitoring finished product quality, and coaching operators to maintain quality standards throughout the shift.
Provide hands-on operational support, including operating a forklift, material handling, mixing, and assisting with production duties during call-offs or PTO coverage.
Address performance issues promptly while reinforcing company policies and expectations.
Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture across the production team.
Ensure production goals are met while minimizing scrap and downtime.
Complete shift reports, production log, and timeclock/PTO approvals.
Weekend Leadership Expectations
Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing production environment.
Ability to confidently lead the shift and make operational decisions independently when upper management is not onsite.
Maintain clear communication between shifts, ensuring production status, quality issues, and operational updates are documented and relayed.
Ability to prioritize staffing and adjust assignments to maintain production flow during call-offs, PTO, or operational changes.
Maintain a positive, accountable team environment while reinforcing safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong communication and coaching skills with the ability to clearly communicate expectations and provide guidance to production staff.
Strong organizational and delegation skills
Solid organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions.
Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing equipment preferred.
2–4 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment required.
Physical Requirements
Regular lifting up to 50lbs
Standing, walking, bending, and full range of motion required
Exposure to moving mechanical parts and loud environments
